On Monday 11th June 2012, join Richard as he returns to the home of British jazz, Ronnie Scotts.

Guesting with internationally renowned saxophone player, Renato d’Aiello, Richard will be singing a selection of American standards and new material including ‘Autumn in Soho Square’, a sultry re-worked ballad version of ‘Oh, What a Night’ and Frank Sinatra classics ‘It Was a Very Good Year’ and ‘Strangers in the Night’, the title track from his 1968 hit album.

It’s 1968 and Frank Sinatra’s hits include ‘Strangers in the Night’, ‘The Summer Wind’ and ‘A Very Good Year’. It’s also the year he’s been filming ‘The Detective’ and more auspiciously, the year his marriage to his third wife Mia Farrow ends.

Fellow Rat-Packer Peter Lawford (Nigel Miles-Thomas) is hosting one of his celebrity soirees in New York’s glamorous Copacabana Club and has asked Frank to be his star name for the evening – an opportunity Frank gladly accepts to take his mind off his impending divorce and enjoy doing what he does best – singing!

Joining the in-house jazz trio, Frank salutes the new British band ‘The Beatles’ singing ‘Yesterday’ and performs an unmissable version of ‘Downtown’ made famous by ‘that other Brit’ – Petula Clark! In a moving tribute to his friends Jack and Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, hear Frank dedicate ‘A Very Good Year’ commemorating their senseless assassination. And how he really feels about his recent hit ‘Strangers in the Night’.

In an unprecedented move, Frank even asks Peter Lawford to join him on a couple of numbers as they recreate the antics of The Rat Pack in Vegas.

But most interestingly, hear what Frank has to say about the new song he’s about to record – ‘My Way’.

Hollywood calls! Richard in L.A. for February

Following his appearance in the Oscar nominated movie ‘My Week with Marilyn’, Richard is in L.A. during February to promote the film and develop contacts.

Playing the Maitre d’Hotel of London’s ‘Cafe de Paris’, Richard joins the illustrious cast starring Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe, Kenneth Branagh as Sir Lawrence Oliver and Dame Judi Dench as Sybil Thorndike. The film looks at the week Marilyn Monroe spent in the UK making ‘The Prince and the Showgirl’ with Lawrence Oliver.

Richard was thrilled to have been asked to perform at the London wrap party of the movie by the producer Harvey Weinstein.

1966 – Frank Sinatra has been performing in Sydney, Australia and receives a call from fello Rat Packer, Peter Lawford who’s been filming in Thailand and asks Frank if he’d like to stop off in Asia en-route home and perform some impromptu intimate concerts with a jazz quartet. In a coup, Frank agree’s and even offers to take music requests from the audience.

In this charming, witty and moving show, see and hear Frank Sinatra as he guides us through the happenings of 1966 including his marriage to Mia Farrow and feelings about the unmanned moon landings accompanied by his music including ‘Angel Eyes’, ‘The Shadow of your Smile’, ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ and ‘My Way’.

Richard sings on BBC Radio 2 ‘Friday Night is Music Night’ – 3rd December 2010

On December 3rd, Richard is thrilled to be singing live on BBC Radio 2 ‘Friday Night is Music Night’ with the BBC Concert Orchestra on the ‘Salute to the Soaps’ show. Sharing the concert platform with stars from Coronation Street and other popular Soaps, Richard will recount his times on Emmerdale as the murdering Dr Adam Forsythe and sing ‘The Lady is a Tramp’ and ‘The Christmas Song’ (‘Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire’). Live broadcast is between 8.00-10.00pm.
