Emmerdale

‘Being a villain is always great fun’, says Richard, describing his 18-month stint in Emmerdale where he played the murderous Dr Adam Forsythe. ‘Where else do you get license to murder, plot and intrigue and have a laugh at the same time?’

When Adam joined the village, he was the charming, friendly Dr., determined to set up a professional practice and he enjoyed a special bond with Betty and Alan. But little did they suspect he was far from the real deal and was harbouring his own terrible secrets.

And when he met Steph, who had her own legacy of murder and secrets, it was a fateful union. He tried to help her but ended up falling in love and even killing for her. And that’s where the drama really started to hot up! They got married but eventually double-crossed each other and justice was served on them both.

‘I really enjoyed working on the show and with Lorraine – our story lines were pretty gruelling at times but we always had a laugh at the end of filming.’

And who knows where Adam and Steph might pop up again?
